We aimed to capture the urgency of the streets and seal it into a visual language that asks for no permission. The Color: Reaction Red.This isn't just any red. It is the frequency of alert the hue of danger and visceral passion. It is a signal that cuts through the urban gray, an absolute statement of presence that transforms the wearer into a point of no return. The Typography: The Power of Mass.We selected a bold, heavy, architectural typeface. The letters of MDMA don’t just occupy space; they reclaim it. Their solid structure echoes the concrete blocks and steel beams of the metropolis, conveying a sense of indestructibility and industrial rigor. The Forms: The Warning Aesthetic.The tape, the laundry icons reimagined as technical symbols, the warnings that become decor. We took the codes of the chemical laboratory and the construction site and translated them into a "Warning" aesthetic. Every straight line and sharp angle communicates precision, obsessive care, and a dangerously fascinating nature. The Vision.This identity is the barrier tape that defines a restricted area, reserved for those who aren’t afraid to dare. Worn surfaces, analog textures, layered typography, and signs of deterioration become integral design elements. Imperfection is not treated as a flaw, but as evidence of history a tangible presence that reveals the process of memory sedimentation. Typography is intentionally embedded within the graphic material, appearing and disappearing to encourage an experience of discovery rather than immediate legibility. Every element conveys the idea of an archive in constant evolution, where documents, sounds, and cultural fragments are continuously revisited and recontextualized. The project reflects on the relationship between physical media and digital heritage, bringing contemporary aesthetics into dialogue with the visual language of the analog world. Virtualmass positions itself as a research platform that moves beyond the traditional concept of the archive, becoming a space of convergence where the non-canonical, the ephemeral, and the overlooked design.n21studio https://pedermalmo.it/Elettro-Biblioteca Elettrobiblioteca&nbsp;Elettrobiblioteca is an original project curated by the Fondazione Collegio San Carlo and Fondazione AGO Modena Fabbriche Culturali, with the support of the Fondazione di Modena. The project promotes the rediscovery of historical musical heritage in a contemporary context through the integration of historical and archival research, performing arts, and new technologies. The project aims to develop innovative forms of cultural communication and artistic production by combining different methodologies and disciplines, while also enhancing access to the data and information that document the history and cultural traditions of the Modena area. The common thread of Elettrobiblioteca is archival music. The project originated from the study of musical manuscripts dating from the mid-eighteenth century to the late nineteenth century, preserved in the Historical Archive of the Fondazione Collegio San Carlo, together with related historical, artistic, and archival materials. This research brought to light fragments of incidental music for theatrical performances staged by the College's students, compositions written for the Accademie with the names of the students involved in the dances, works composed by the students themselves, complete ballet scores and individual instrumental parts, as well as a number of teaching materials. The documents held in the Historical Archive of the Fondazione Collegio San Carlo have been digitized and made available on patrimoniodigitale.fondazionesancarlo.it, the Fondazione San Carlo's digital platform, and on Lodovico Media Library by the DHMoRe Interdepartmental Research Centre for Digital Humanities at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. <img width="1080" height="1080" producer based in Berlin and a distinctive voice in the IDM and experimental Techno landscape, I crafted a visual universe that transforms his sound into an emotional geography made of ice, glitch, and digital poetry. The cover is conceived as a fragment of a dreamlike landscape: a dissolving glacial expanse carved by metallic clouds, cold vapors, and storm-like textures. Shades of hazy blue, powdery sky tones, and silver-white create a suspended, hypnotic atmosphere, evoking the feeling of staring into an immense, undefined horizon.The glossy surface reminiscent of a freshly unwrapped vinyl’s protective film&nbsp; turns the object into something alive, pristine, and precious, like a sonic artifact from a distant future. Typography becomes a code: ST906/06 and S/2 are not mere titles, but cryptic markers, coordinates that guide the eye through a composition that’s intentionally minimal and deconstructed. They act as stamps, hints, fragments of a visual grammar that merges industrial precision with abstract sensibility. From the edge of the cover, the vinyl label emerges as a sharp focal point: the “S/2” symbol, treated with a grainy, glitch-inspired texture, pulses like a digital signal passing through water, ice, and electricity.The deep, glossy black of the record contrasts dramatically with the ethereal blues of the cover, turning the object into a sculptural monolith&nbsp; almost ceremonial. Every element in this project is designed to evoke a physical sensation:the grainy roughness of the cover, the smoothness of the vinyl, the subtle crinkle of transparent plastic.A tactile and visual experience that anticipates the sound electronic, massive, enigmatic, that the artist delivers. It is an evolving archive of marginal, discarded, or overlooked objects each one a portal to hidden histories, suppressed memories, and untold perspectives. Through artistic interventions, storytelling, and critical documentation, the project reactivates the emotional, political, and cultural resonances embedded in material things. These objects, stripped of function but rich in meaning, become protagonists of a counter-archive that resists erasure and reclaims the complexity of the past. Archive Object is a space where memory is not static but speculative a place to question who gets to keep, classify, and narrate what is remembered. The project stems from the tragic story of Mary, the author’s sister, who took her own life at the age of twenty-three after a period of drug addiction. With this book, Veronica Barbato not only tells Mary’s life story, but gives her a “second life” by using the language and dimension of street art, allowing her to travel the world as she never had the chance to do, and transforming her into an icon. The photographs are a blend of intense and symbolic images, enriched with vibrant colors, glitter, and phrases taken from Mary’s secret diaries. Each shot reflects the hallucination, suffering, and false illusions of drugs, while also celebrating her life and her indomitable spirit. “Tua Sorella” is a tribute to resilience a visual narrative that turns pain into art and death into a new form of existence.
